What else do you need on a phone?

Nokia have finally announced the follow up to the most popular N95, the N96 has been announced at this years Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Nokia N95 flew off the shelves when it was released last year, as it is an all round mobile phone with great features.

It has the same two-way slide that the N95 has, which gives you the usual keypad for texting at the bottom and it also has a media keypad at the top for controlling music. The N96 is graced with a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens and integrated GPS for the drivers or keen walkers out there. It does have a few more extras from the N95, such as a built in DVB-H digital TV receiver for you to watch TV on the move – and it even has a handy little flip out stand so you can rest it on a table and catch up on the latest goings on in your favourite soap. Another great feature is the massive memory at 16GB – which can be expanded to 32GB by memory card.

The Nokia N96 is slightly bigger and heavier than the N95 – but it dis more rounded and actually looks neater and more compact somehow, so is a better looking phone than its predecessor.

The Nokia N96 is expected to be released after summer and as with the N95 will probably carry a pretty hefty price tag. So don’t go expecting it to be free on tariffs below about £50 initially.
